Follow-up Comment #4, bug #22768 (project wget):
Example of current output for FTP: message given when doesn't exist, but not
when it does. Also, the
2008-06-24 12:49:18 URL: ftp://micah.cowan.name/fubar [0] -> "fubar" [1]
line is misleading in both cases, since it isn't actually downloaded (AFAICT)
in either case.
$ wget -nv --spider ftp://micah.cowan.name/fubar
2008-06-24 12:49:18 URL: ftp://micah.cowan.name/fubar [375] -> ".listing"
[1]
No such file “fubar”.
2008-06-24 12:49:18 URL: ftp://micah.cowan.name/fubar [0] -> "fubar" [1]
$ wget -nv --spider ftp://micah.cowan.name/pub/ditty/ditty-current.tar.gz
2008-06-24 12:49:47 URL:
ftp://micah.cowan.name/pub/ditty/ditty-current.tar.gz [496] -> ".listing" [1]
2008-06-24 12:49:47 URL:
ftp://micah.cowan.name/pub/ditty/ditty-current.tar.gz [40642] ->
"ditty-current.tar.gz" [1]
