My bad, I hadn't noticed the backtrace.

I just came across the original for this bug at launchpad:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wget/+bug/123521.

I was able to reproduce this as follows:

Have a file named server-class.html, 4691 bytes in length.

Run the command: wget -c
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/vm/server-class.html

(currently, that file is 4,798 bytes in length).

Wget will dump core. This problem still exists in 1.11.
